During his almost 15 years in the US Navy, he attended medical school, was trained in Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine, Radiation Health and later completed a residency in Anesthesiology. He and his wife moved their three girls to Wyoming in 2015. He primarily practices general and cardiac anesthesiology in Casper.
